While it’s true another company had theirs installed a couple weeks before ours, our ROQ press was the first ordered-and-paid-for ROQ automatic screen printing press in America, signifying the beginning of ROQ in the US, and that relationship – now 12 years, going strong.
I started thinking back on it, we’ve been in business for 18 years. I was kind of stunned when I realized we still have customers from that first year. It brought it all back to that essential point of it all for me, that when you find a tribe you belong in, when you find a company you have faith in, it’s the coolest thing to experience what grows from that.
With every relationship, there are ups and downs, but the overall message is that a foundation of trust creates a stronger and more reliable connection that goes far deeper than a business transaction. If and when there’s any issue, my customers know fully well that they can count on me to take care of it, and I know fully well that I can count on ROQ for the same – they stand by what they say.

Early on, when we were putting print arms on our press, we went through about a week and a half when shirts were coming out crooked and we didn't’ know it, because while the T-squares said they were right, the way I put the [print] arms on was wrong. But after realizing it, and because of the way ROQs are engineered, we were able to fix it ourselves within 30 minutes. The amazing thing -- the thing that made me so happy about making this choice with ROQ -- was the fact that the error was literally fixed within a half hour with an Allen wrench, a level, and a tape measure. One of the original things that brought me to ROQ was that the machines are so advanced, but they're intuitive. They allow me to focus on the fun and engaging parts of my business that would otherwise be put off for ‘another day’ that would never come.
The fact that I get to have so much fun with this partnership with ROQ carries a lot of value that deserves to be recognized and celebrated, too. Thank you for showing up all these years. Thank you for sharing the ride, and for staying on the edge and creating a fun space to be in.
